Autosmart Luxury Wax Polish

This is a combination product, which will both polish with a moderate cut, and wax your car with long lasting polymers. It does contain abrasives which cut back the paintwork, so you can use it to remove light scratches. But it also contains fillers and diffusers and so it will also hide them.

If you have a car that has had no protection for between 5 months and 3 years, exposure to the elements will have damage the surface of the paint leaving them oxidized which makes paintwork dull and hazy. This shows more on some colours than others, but don't be fooled, a silver car will go dull just as much as a black car... only you won't notice it as much. But you will notice the difference after using this product. The cut will remove dead paint and reveal the good paint underneath. This stuff really is good.

*Valeting Tips ~ How often can you use products with cut before they take all the paint off?

Answer ~ They are safe to use on a regular basis. Oxidized paint is weak, the chemical processes which damage the paint destroy the binders which hold the paint together. So if using a modern product such as Luxury Wax Polish, it will be balanced to be strong enough to easily remove the oxidized paint, but weak enough to do little to good paint unless you are working it hard, in which case you can remove scratches. LWP contains a blend of very good polymer waxes which last 3-4 months so you don't have to use it more than 4 times a year anyway. Once you have brought the colour and shine back to your paintwork, you may wish to change to a product with more shine and not cut such as AutoSmart Protective Sealer Polish.

Every time you wash your car you will put millions of tiny microscopic scratches into the paint (It can't be helped!), when the sun shines and these catch the light you get a swirled pattern which is often called swirl marks, washing marks or spider webs, due to the radial pattern they make. Luxury Wax Polish contains some fillers and diffusers to help hide these micro scratches making your car look younger. The abrasive cut will also help to remove them with regular use.

As for the shine... you will see a dramatic improvement the first time you use it. Each time you use it will increase the shine by a percentage as you are further polishing the paintwork. But its not a high shine product because it's designed as a colour restorer and so it will only ever give you an eight out of ten -- for a better shine, look out for AutoSmart Protective Sealer Wax.

Because you will notice a big difference the first time you use this product, it's ideal for people selling a car which needs a bit of a lift. Cars these days are pretty reliable, so the value is mostly based on the cosmetic appearance, anything you do to make your car your car look better will pay you back in cash.

It's suitable for cars of all colours and all kinds of paint finish.

We sell this in 275ml bottles which is plenty because it lasts 3-4 months.

It has a long shelf life (if protected from freezing cold) and so there is enough in here to last the average user a year or more.

Pros: Does two things in one go, waxes and polishes, and although it has cut and will restore tired paintwork, you would never have to worry about making your paintwork thin, you could still keep going with it, you would have to use it hundreds of times to effect paint integrity. Great results for minimum effort on dull cars - polishes and waxes in one. Improves the car each time you use it.

Cons: - This has limitations, it would never replace a buffing machine, so if you have a severely oxidized car, you need to take it to a valeter. And on newer cars in good condition, there are waxes that give better finish and have a longer life. Can stain black plastic trim and rubber (but easy to remove if you know how!)
